Company profile

Grand Range Biotechnologies Sdn. Bhd. (GRBSB) is involved in research, development, production and commercialization of microbial-based products for agricultural applications namely soil enhancers, plant growth regulators and bio-pesticides. GRBSB is embarking on the bio-technology development for both the environment and agriculture use. This is in line with the Government’s National Biotechnology Policy (NBP) to promote the biotechnology industry especially in the agriculture industry. The Company has also tied up with Universiti Putra Malaysia to ambitiously venture into the biotechnology industry to add value to its products and services.

GRBSB has collaborated with M.R. Morarka-GDC Rural Research Foundation of Jaipur, India to ambitiously venture into the bio-technology industry for the environment and agriculture use. The company will also attempt to develop need based technology for sanitization and accelerated decomposition of organic waste materials, other solid waste management and safe disposal of slaughter house waste.

GRBSB microbial production unit in Gemencheh, Negeri Sembilan undertakes the production of microbes and scaling up for the application in the soil enhancers, plant growth regulators and bio-pesticides. This unit will also monitor the quality and specifications of the products produced by GRBSB. The microbial production unit is also be used to develop other products for other environmental and agriculture use.

GRBSB will undertake the research project at the R & D laboratory in Seremban which covers the specific area of conducting a thorough study on microbes inoculation, fundamental application of developing a composition of several known bacterias’. This study would determine the range of efficiency on the microbes upon application. This study also enables a better understanding on using more reliable microbes in their products. This study also covers the microbial activity limit range and its acceptance to new mediums and applications.
